Meet Juana

While in Canada attending grad school for aquatic ecology, I was out one evening on a solo excursion and happened to witness my first northern lights. Simultaneously, I experienced an epiphany... At that very moment I heard a voice that said, "Drop out of grad school and go into the healing arts." It went on to say, "People express outwardly based on their inner state." What?!? I'm supposed to be a scientist!  I've only heard this voice a few times in my life and I have always followed it explicitly. Why? I'm not quite sure, but I can tell you, I have never looked back!

• Massage Therapy: Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona in 1990 (now known as Cortiva Institute School of Massage Therapy). 

• Brennan Healing Science Practitioner: Graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Miami, Florida in 2009.

• Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Certification: from the Nutritional Therapy Association in 2014.

• Member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 1990.

• Nationally Certified by National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) since 1993.

• Licensed by the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy since 2004.
